McGraw-Hill Expands Reach of Education Services in China Through Partnership With Baby Care
Strategic alliance to provide China's youngest learners with solutions to foster early childhood and English language development
NEW YORK and BEIJING, March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Education today announced that it has further expanded its presence in China through an exclusive partnership with Beijing-based Baby Care, the first and most prestigious infant education services provider in the country. Baby Care operates more than 400 Baby Care centers in 180 cities. Through the partnership, Chinese children ages 2-6 will for the first time have access to some of McGraw-Hill Education's digital learning solutions through a specially designed international curricula that will enhance the English language skills of some of China's youngest learners.
McGraw-Hill's education solution is licensed exclusively to Baby Care for use in their training centers within mainland China for the next 10 years, and is expected to impact more than 123,000 students.
Baby Care and McGraw-Hill Education experts will work together to design a curriculum in art, science, math and English that is specialized for preschool Chinese students and accessible through a customized online learning platform. Content will be adapted to meet Baby Care curriculum goals, delivery, and schedule, and will utilize McGraw-Hill's DLM Early Childhood Express, a comprehensive, research-based Pre-K curriculum that offers a wealth of English-language materials to help foster the social-emotional, intellectual, and physical development of children. McGraw-Hill Education will also be responsible for the design of all educational resources, classroom, teacher and virtual in-service training, as well as ongoing support and site maintenance.
