McGraw Hill Construction's Harvey Bernstein Named to National Academy of Construction
NEW YORK, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw Hill Construction (http://www.construction.com) today announced that Harvey Bernstein, the company's Vice President, Industry Insights & Alliances, has been elected to the National Academy of Construction (NAC). Bernstein's election honors his lifelong career of leadership in engineering and construction research that has fostered industry innovation, sustainability and global best practices.

As Vice President of Industry Insights & Alliances, Bernstein leads McGraw Hill Construction's thought leadership, market research and green building initiatives. He was responsible for launching the company's successful SmartMarket Report series tracking future industry trends, and speaks and writes on topics including prefabrication and modularization, BIM, public-private partnerships, green buildings, retrofit market, renewable energy, innovation and global markets. Previously, Bernstein served as President and CEO of the Civil Engineering Research Foundation. He currently serves as a member of the Princeton University Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Council and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Building Museum and the World Green Building Council. He is also a visiting professor with the University of Reading's School of Construction Management and Engineering in England. Bernstein has an M.B.A. from Loyola College, an M.S. in engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
