McGraw Hill Construction's Harvey Bernstein Appointed to World Green Building Council Corporate Advisory Board
NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw Hill Construction (http://www.construction.com/) today announced that Harvey Bernstein, the company's Vice President, Industry Insights & Alliances, has been appointed to the Corporate Advisory Board of the World Green Building Council.
The World Green Building Council is a network of national green building councils in more than 90 countries, making it the world's largest international organization influencing the green building marketplace. During the past 10 years, the World Green Building Council has built a global network of 25,000 companies in 98 countries, with a mission to improve the way the built environment is designed, constructed and used by people every day.
As part of the Corporate Advisory Board, Bernstein will work to promote the green building movement, provide insight on market trends, and partner with the organization to set an ambitious agenda to maximize the value of the global network of green building councils.

As Vice President of Industry Insights & Alliances, Bernstein leads McGraw Hill Construction's thought leadership, market research and green building initiatives. He was responsible for launching the company's successful SmartMarket Report series tracking future industry trends, and speaks and writes globally on topics including world green trends, commercial and institutional green buildings, green housing market, BIM, water efficiency, retrofit market, energy efficiency, renewable energy, innovation, prefabrication and modularization and global markets. Previously, Bernstein served as President and CEO of the Civil Engineering Research Foundation. He currently serves as a member of the Princeton University Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Council and is a visiting professor with the University of Reading's School of Construction Management and Engineering in England. Bernstein has an M.B.A. from Loyola College, an M.S. in engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.
