McGladrey Announces Caddie for Love Contest

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- If you have what it takes to caddie for PGA TOUR great Davis Love III, McGladrey is offering you the chance by announcing a new nationwide "Caddie for Love" contest at www.CaddieForLove.com. The winner will caddie for the 2012 U.S. Ryder Cup captain during The McGladrey Classic Pro-Am on October 12, 2011.

Davis ranks sixth in career earnings and is one of the most highly respected golfers currently on the PGA TOUR. Over his 25-year professional career he has captured 171 Top 10 finishes and racked up 20 career PGA TOUR victories. In 1997 he won the PGA Championship and in 2012 Davis will lead Team U.S.A. as Ryder Cup captain.

Details on Entering

Submit by June 25 a creative photo and short essay explaining why you should be Davis' caddie during The McGladrey Classic Pro-Am held at beautiful Sea Island Resort on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Show originality, creativity and describe how you bring special understanding to the game of golf and the business of caddying for Davis Love III. You must be a U.S. resident and 18 years or older to enter.

From June 26 through July 10, the public will be asked to vote on their favorite, followed by McGladrey judges. Twenty finalists will then be asked to submit a short video illustrating why they should be chosen by Davis and the fans to "Caddie for Love".

Videos will also be judged by the public and McGladrey judges between August 2 and September 14, with the grand prize winner announced on September 15.  Entrants can register and see the complete official rules and prize information at www.CaddieForLove.com.
