EpicCare Inpatient is now capable of delivering full CareWebQI 5.0 functionality as well as care guideline content to support clinical decision-making and documentation in the medical record. The integration allows hospitals that use EpicCare Inpatient and license CareWebQI 5.0 to review care guidance in the context of the care episode, document evidence-based decisions, and save that documentation for review by other members of the care team.
"Hospitals have told us that they want to access MCG care guidelines and solutions through their EHRs," said Jon Shreve, President of MCG. "We have a strong commitment, wherever possible, to continue integrating with the best in the EHR industry."
CareWebQI 5.0 gives hospitals easy access to MCG's evidence-based care guidelines so they can document care decisions, develop more comprehensive care plans, identify gaps in care, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency. Interactive recovery milestones allow users to track and communicate patient progress and promote proactive discharge planning and care coordination.
Care guideline products available through CareWebQI 5.0 and its integration partners include Inpatient & Surgical Care, General Recovery Care, Ambulatory Care, Recovery Facility Care, Home Care, Chronic Care, Behavioral Health Care, and Patient Information.
Today's announcement builds upon an existing network of CareWebQI integrations. Other healthcare IT solutions integrated with CareWebQI include 3M, ACS Midas+, AllScripts, Altruista Health, Casenet, Cerner, Essette, Healthedge, IMA Technologies, Inc., Medecision, MedHOK, MEDITECH, Morrisey, Pegasystems, TCS Healthcare Technologies, Thrasys, TriZetto, and ZeOmega.
