McDonald's® To Host Family Health & Safety Day September 29, Phoenix & Northern Arizona Restaurants To Distribute 20,000 Free Bicycle Helmets Provided By Arizona Chapter Of American Academy Of Pediatrics
50 McDonald's Restaurants Locations To Host Health & Safety Fairs
PHOENIX, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's restaurants throughout greater Phoenix and northern Arizona will host Family Health & Safety Day, Sept. 29, at 9 a.m., an unprecedented child safety event that will give away 20,000 bicycle helmets!
Parents that visit their local McDonald's restaurant with their children, ages 5 – 10, will receive a FREE bicycle helmet provided by the Arizona Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP).
Bicycle helmets will be distributed to parents at McDonald's restaurants in Maricopa, La Paz, Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, Gila, Navajo, Apache, Graham, and Pinal counties. The FREE bicycle helmet offer excludes Walmart® and mall McDonald's restaurant locations.
Safe Kids Arizona volunteers will be on site at McDonald's locations to properly fit the bicycle helmets.
In addition, 50 McDonald's restaurant locations will host Health & Safety Fairs with state/county/city community service organizations providing health screenings and injury prevention information to local families. Visit http://community.mcdonalds.com/phoenix for McDonald's locations.
