McDonald's To Host Backpack Saturday July 27, Arizona Restaurants To Giveaway 28,000 Free Backpacks Statewide
PHOENIX, July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's restaurants throughout Arizona will host Backpack Saturday on July 27, an event that will give away a total of 28,000 backpacks and help thousands of children get ready for school!
McDonald's restaurants will begin distributing the FREE backpacks beginning at 8 a.m. on July 27th. The first 100 children that visit their local McDonald's restaurant will receive a FREE backpack.
A total of 28,000 backpacks will be given away to school-age children at McDonald's restaurants statewide. The FREE Backpack offer excludes Wal-Mart and mall McDonald's restaurant locations.
In addition, 70 McDonald's restaurant locations will host Back to School Health & Safety Fairs with community service organizations providing health screenings and information on dental care, health and safety to local families. "These fairs are free and are in the Phoenix communities and beyond – some 30 Arizona cities," said Michelle Slayton, president of McDonald's Owner/Operator Association of Phoenix and northern Arizona.
