McDonald's® To Honor Veterans With Free Meal And Donation To Local Veterans Group On Veterans Day
McDonald's invites all veterans and active-duty service members to join them for a free meal on Friday, November 11
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's® Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region are honoring all veterans and active-duty service members this Veterans Day by offering a free All Day Breakfast Extra Value Meal® throughout the day on Friday, November 11 as an extension of the McDonald's Real Heroes initiative that seeks to give back to teachers, law enforcement, first responders and service members for all they sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe.
On Veterans Day, McDonald's will also be donating $500 to the Veterans Multi-Service Center, a non-profit organization in Philadelphia dedicated to assisting some of our nation's bravest heroes, our veterans. Veteran and Director of Operations for McDonald's restaurant, Ray Gambrell, will be presenting Lincoln Strehle, Deputy Executive Director, Veterans Multi-Service Center with the donation at the 2nd & Lehigh McDonald's at 12:00pm on Friday, November 11 in a public celebration event for all area veterans.

For more than 30 years, the Veterans Multi-Service Center has been providing job training and placement, permanent and transitional housing services to homeless and low-income veterans, legal counseling referrals, and access to a staff that hold an in-depth knowledge of the VA Medical system and VA disability claims and entitlements. All of these services contribute to the successful re-integration of veterans into society to help them live independently and to positively contribute to their community.
