McDonald's Perks Up Southern California With Free Coffee
Second national McCafe free coffee event kicks off on Sept. 16 and culminates on National Coffee Day, Sept. 29
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, McDonald's launched a second national Free Coffee Event, an opportunity for even more coffee lovers to enjoy a freshly brewed, rich and smooth McCafe coffee every morning. From Sept. 16 to 29, guests can get a free small McCafe coffee during breakfast hours at participating McDonald's restaurants across Southern California. These next two weeks build on McDonald's first-ever Free Coffee Event launched in March where McDonald's treated thousands of coffee lovers to a free cup of McCafe coffee to fuel their day.
"We're excited to bring back the McCafe Free Coffee Event to our Southern California customers," said Clay Paschen, III, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operator's Association of Southern California (MOASC). "This second event will help us reinforce our commitment to McDonald's breakfast while also rewarding longtime guests with a free cup of coffee to accompany their favorite morning meal."
McDonald's first launched its McCafe line in the U.S. in 2009. The collection included McCafe signature blend coffee and quickly expanded to include iced coffees, espresso-based drinks, blended-ice beverages, and limited-time seasonal offerings. This holiday season, customers can again enjoy the White Chocolate Mocha, in addition to the new White Chocolate Latte and Hot Chocolate, for a limited-time.
McCafe fans in Southern California and nationwide will soon be able to enjoy their coffee whenever they want, including at home. McDonald's recently announced collaboration with Kraft Foods Group, Inc. to offer a variety of McCafe ground, whole bean and single cup coffees in grocery stores and other retailers nationwide starting in early 2015.
MOASC is comprised of more than 600 franchised and company-owned McDonald's restaurants in Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties. Learn more at mcdonaldssocal.com and follow us on Twitter: @McDonalds_SoCal
