McDonald's® Announces The Return Of The McRib® To The Greater Philadelphia Region

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning tomorrow, the legendary McRib sandwich will once again be available at participating McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region.  Made with specially selected pork cuts supplied exclusively from the United States, the McRib sandwich's unforgettable taste comes from the combination of boneless pork with fresh-slivered onions, dill pickle slices and McDonald's signature McRib sauce on a toasted, golden-brown home-style bun.

Since its introduction 30 years ago, the combination of the McRib sandwich's signature barbeque sauce and limited availability has led customers to perform extraordinary feats for a taste of the elusive sandwich. For residents of the Greater Philadelphia Region, however, a short trip to their local McDonald's is all that stands between them and the opportunity to enjoy the ultimate pork sandwich.

To celebrate the return of the McRib, the "McRib Mania" launch party will be held at Midnight on December 14 at the Broad & Diamond Streets McDonald's located near the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia. Event attendees in need of a final exam study break or late night adventure will be able to sample the legendary sandwich and receive great giveaways and coupons for a free McRib.
