McDonald's Adds Flavors Of Summer To Breakfast With Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal
New Wholesome Start is Now Available in the Greater Philadelphia Region
PHILADELPHIA, May 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh berries and seasonal fruit flavors are now on the menu at local McDonald's restaurants as the company introduces its new Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal. As part of McDonald's 'Flavors of Summer' limited time menu line-up, this new option offers the delicious tastes of summer's seasonal fruit.
Available at all McDonald's in the Greater Philadelphia Region starting today, Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal features fresh, juicy blueberries and crunchy walnuts along with a tasty hint of real banana. Made to order, McDonald's new Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal provides two servings of whole grain and about a quarter cup of blueberries for 290 calories. The new oatmeal will be available all day at Philadelphia McDonald's restaurants through August 3, while supplies last.
"The new Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal helps make the delicious flavors of fruit more accessible and convenient," said John Durante, President, McDonald's Owner/Operator Association of the Greater Philadelphia Region. "This supports McDonald's ongoing commitment to offer customers a variety of affordable and great-tasting menu choices. But, like summer, Blueberry Banana Nut Oatmeal is only around for a limited time, so enjoy it while you can."
To celebrate this new product launch, McDonald's will sample the oatmeal at various local camps this summer and will host two blogger events in the region to show families how the new oatmeal fits into a "wholesome start" breakfast. All customers are encouraged to tweet @McDPhilly to tell us about their "wholesome starts" using the hashtag #BBNO.
