CLEVELAND, Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its success and growth, McDonald Hopkins, a business advisory and advocacy law firm, is elevating its intellectual property and private client practice groups to departments and promoting key people to new roles within the firm.
"We are always evaluating our structure and leadership to ensure that we are best positioned to advise our clients," said Carl J. Grassi, president. "The changes are focused on strategic growth and planning for the future."
Leaders of the Intellectual Property Department are David B. Cupar, chair, and James A. Dimitrijevs, vice chair. Intellectual Property, which was formerly a practice group and was co-chaired by Cupar, has grown from four attorneys in 2009 to 17 attorneys today.
The Estate Planning Department has expanded to include the firm's tax and benefits practice groups, which better reflects how the attorney teams develop business and wealth preservation strategies for their clients. The Private Client Department is led by Jeffrey P. Consolo, chair, and David M. Kall, vice chair. Consolo was formerly chair of the Estate Planning Department. Kall also serves as chair of the Capital Markets and Multistate Tax Practice Groups.
