McCracken County Extension Master Gardeners Host Fifth Annual Herb Appeal Community Luncheon
PADUCAH, Ky., July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The McCracken County Extension Master Gardeners will host the fifth annual Herb Appeal community luncheon July 20 at noon at the office's location at 2025 New Holt Road in Paducah, with doors opening at 11:45 a.m.
The luncheon is an annual fundraiser for the UK/KSU Demonstration Garden and will feature a four-course meal with locally sourced and grown herbs. The menu is a creation of the Master Gardeners together with Midtown Market and local culinary expert Laura Duff.
Local chef Sarah Bradley, owner of the Paducah Freight House, will teach about the featured herbs during the luncheon, and attendees will have the chance to shop for container-grown plants, crafts and gardening supplies following the presentation and meal.
Seating is limited, with less than 70 seats available. The luncheon is open to all community members, but advance registration is required.
Registration is $25 per person, and the fee includes the cost of the meal and a cookbook celebrating the luncheon's five years.
Those interested in attending need to RSVP and pay in advance at the McCracken County Cooperative Extension Office, located at 2025 New Holt Road in Paducah. Only checks are accepted as payment and should be made payable to "MCEMG."
