McCracken County Cooperative Extension Launches Free Workshop Series for Young Adults
PADUCAH, Ky., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The McCracken County Cooperative Extension Office recently launched a class series to help young adults navigate the life challenges that come with adulthood.
The #Adulting Series offers free classes to the community each month on various topics like budgeting, car maintenance, small space gardening, relationships, healthy eating and more.
The next class, "Healthy Relationships," will focus on helping young adults learn how to meet new people and build strong professional and personal relationships and friendships. The class will take place 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Extension Office at 2025 New Holt Road in Paducah.
The series launched in March with its first class, "Car Maintenance," and featured "Landing a Job" in April and "Gardening on a Ledge" in May.
Following "Healthy Relationships" in June, the Extension Office will hold six more classes each month through December.
The series will feature "Cooking to Survive" on July 27, "Moving Out of Your Parents' Basement" on August 3, "Etiquette" on September 7, "Decorating for the Holidays" on October 12, "Get the Most Bang for Your Hard-Earned Buck" on November 9, and "Beginning Entrepreneurship" on December 7.
All classes are held at the Extension Office from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on their respective dates, and participants are asked to RSVP by calling 270-554-9520.
