McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A. Substantially Expands Its Criminal Law And Technology Practice With Its Merger Of Ian N. Friedman & Associates

CLEVELAND, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective March 1, 2014, noted criminal defense attorney Ian N. Friedman merged his Cleveland based criminal law practice with McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA.  This merger significantly expands the criminal, white collar, cyber-crime and corporate investigation department of the firm. The criminal law practice will now be chaired by Principals Ian N. Friedman and Robert T. Glickman. Joining Mr. Friedman in the merger are his associates Kristina W. Supler and Anne Walton Keller. 

In the tradition of both firms, McCarthy Lebit will continue representing accused individuals and entities in Ohio, nationally, and abroad. Combining the criminal experience of Mr. Friedman's firm with the depth and resources of McCarthy Lebit's existing criminal, tax and accounting practices will allow the firm to provide an unparalleled level of service on behalf of its clients.

Mr. Ian N. Friedman, a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law teaching Computer & Criminal Law. He has lectured to lawyers all over the United States of America, has been published in countless mediums, and has appeared on several national television programs. In 2011 the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers named him the first ever "Lawyer of the Year." He is a Fellow of the prestigious American Board of Criminal Lawyers.

Mr. Robert T. Glickman, a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, joined McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A. in 2004. Mr. Glickman is a former Cuyahoga County Major Trial Prosecutor and Court of Common Pleas Judge. As Principal of McCarthy Lebit, he has litigated complex criminal and civil cases in various State and Federal Courts across the United States. He was elected to the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America in four different litigation sub-specialties.

Ms. Kristina W. Supler, a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, has worked with Mr. Friedman for a decade, focusing her practice on complex technology and federal sentencing matters.  She was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Defense Lawyers (NACDL). This is the pre-imminent criminal defense organization in the country with over Ten-thousand (10,000) general and affiliate members. In addition to being only one of thirty-five board members, Ms. Supler is an active member of the NACDL White Collar and Indigent Defense Committees. She serves as an appointed board member of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Alumni Association.

Ms. Anne Walton Keller, a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law has gained significant trial experience while practicing with Mr. Friedman. She will continue her criminal trial practice at McCarthy Lebit. In 2014, she was selected to be an Ohio Super Lawyer, Rising Star, an honor reserved for the top 2% of Ohio legal practitioners under the age of 40.
