McCann Worldgroup Named Network of the Year At The 31st Annual London International Awards

NEW YORK, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 31st annual LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS (LIA) Festival, McCann Worldgroup was named Network of the Year, based on its win of a total of 68 LIA statues. McCann New York, the single most awarded agency, was named Agency of the Year, with McCann London ranked as the second most awarded agency.

McCann Worldgroup's wins came from 13 offices spanning every region of the world. In addition to top awards to New York for Lockheed Martin and to London for Microsoft, the other winning offices were in Melbourne, Brussels, Shanghai, Paris, Mumbai, Bucharest, Stockholm, Lima, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Detroit and Richmond (VA). Other clients for whom the winning work was created included Chevrolet, U.S. Army and Geico.

McCann's showing at the LIA followed its win of 96 Lions at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, which also recognized it as the most awarded network in North America. Other recent 2016 honors have included being named Network of the Year by both El Ojo de Iberoamerica 2016 and the Cresta International Advertising Awards. McCann, which is ranked as one of the Top 5 most creatively awarded global networks and #2 overall digitally in this year's Gunn Report, also is ranked in the Top 3 among the most awarded global networks both at the One Show and for creative effectiveness according to the 2016 Global Effie Effectiveness Index.
