MAZ Releases HTML5 Publishing Tools, Making Content Available Across All Platforms
NEW YORK, May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MAZ, whose publishing platform powers almost 1,000 apps across iOS and Android for publishers such as Forbes, USA Today, The Economist, and OK! Magazine, announced the addition of HTML5 publishing tools to their platform. The new HTML5 publishing tools enable brands to seamlessly offer their content to readers using the desktop web, tablet web, or mobile web, in addition to the native apps currently made available by MAZ for iOS and Android devices.
With over 2 million end users engaging with content published with MAZ via native apps, adding web publishing opens up an even bigger potential reach and a truly multi-platform solution. As with MAZ's mobile and tablet publishing tools, the HTML5 tools require no coding and no additional work for the publisher. Publishers currently using MAZ can simply opt in for HTML5, and new publishers can choose to publish to native apps, HTML5, or both.
"MAZ started within months of the iPad's initial launch, and native apps were a natural point of entry for publishers at the time," says Paul Canetti, Founder and CEO of MAZ. "Now readership is more fragmented, and along with our previous releases for iPhone, Android tablets and smartphones, Amazon Kindle Fire, and so on, the web is a natural next step. Publishers need to be everywhere that a potential reader could be."
This release follows on the heels of MAZ's first consumer-facing app, their new social web browser, Stream Web. Viewing HTML5 content created with MAZ in the Stream Web browser provides users a unique experience with MAZ's signature social product, Stream, by allowing them to "cut out" anything they see on their screens to save or share via social media, e-mail or SMS.
The new HTML5 publishing tools are now available to all publishers using MAZ. Visit mazdigital.com for more information.
