Will Urge Immediate Investments in Job Creation, Infrastructure and Transportation
LOS ANGELES, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With the deadline for reaching an agreement to raise the debt ceiling fast-approaching, fifty of the nation's mayors, led by US Conference of Mayors (USCM) President Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, will meet in Los Angeles next week to urge Congress and the Administration to reach an agreement on the debt limit to prevent default.

At the USCM Summer Leadership Meeting, the mayors will also discuss the critical issues and challenges facing America's cities including job creation, rebuilding our nation's infrastructure, and public safety.
