May Leng Yau-Patterson is recognized by Continental Who's Who
OAKLAND, Mich., Aug. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who has recognized FCA US Executive May Leng Yau-Patterson as a 2016 Pinnacle Professional in the Automotive industry, the fourth year in a row that she has received this honor.
May-Leng Yau-Patterson is the Head of World Class Manufacturing Mexico Operations for the company formerly known as Chrysler Group LLC. In this position, May-Leng is leading and coaching plant managers and leadership teams in the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), a methodology that focuses on eliminating waste, increasing productivity and improving quality and safety in a systematic and organized way. She is responsible for the development and engagement of people in the application of the WCM technical methods and tools to achieve operational excellence. WCM has been credited as one of the key strategies in the continued success of FCA US.
May-Leng is also a certified Global WCM Auditor who performs World Class Manufacturing audits at facilities around the world to help identify and drive out all forms of waste to achieve business results.
May-Leng specializes in Lean Manufacturing; Supply Chain Management; Logistics Management; Strategy Development; Purchasing; Material Handling and Packaging Solutions; Industrial Engineering; and Logistics Engineering.
May-Leng has been recognized worldwide and received numerous awards for her leadership and commitment to the profession. Recently, May-Leng was named "Top Professional of the Year in Manufacturing" by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Other recognitions have included being honored as a Delegate Featured Leader by the International Women's Leadership Association, selected as a recipient of the Women of Color Achievement, named one of Automotive News' 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry and awarded Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year as well as Empire Who's Who Professional of the Year both in the automobile industry. May also had a chapter dedicated to her in the 2011 edition of Top 101 Industry Experts and was featured in the Automotive News September 2010 edition.
May-Leng earned both her Bachelor of Science in Systems Analysis and Master of Science in Operations Research from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.
