OXFORD, Miss., Jan. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MaxxSouth Broadband's total contributions in sponsorships, advertisements, support and charitable donations to organizations and communities within Mississippi reached $1,134,249 for the 2017 year.
MaxxSouth works closely with many nonprofit and local organizations throughout the state and was able to support local education establishments, city events, art programs, hospital fundraisers and more, through various advertising opportunities.
"We work actively every year to find organizations and events in our communities to support," said Randy Santiago, MaxxSouth CEO. "Through these different contributions, we were able to witness renovations and growth in our very own cities, and our children were able to take advantage of the programs MaxxSouth helped to promote."
Some of the organizations MaxxSouth donated its services to include: Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, Mississippi State University, Starkville Area Arts Council, Oxford Film Festival, Amory Railroad Festival Committee and Palmer Home for Children. MaxxSouth also worked with multiple Chamber of Commerce organizations throughout the state as well as several nonprofit organizations.
"Support from MaxxSouth enables us to plan our marketing and outreach through multiple media channels ensuring our efforts to celebrate and share the talents of artist and performers who define Mississippi's cultural landscape will be successful," said Wayne Andrews, executive director of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.
MaxxSouth looks for opportunities to be involved in the community because it wants to help the cities grow and flourish, along with the people. Through MaxxSouth's free advertisements, it was able to promote the events to a larger audience and help increase the amount of donations given to the local organizations, nonprofits, charities and more.
"MaxxSouth is honored for the opportunities to be involved and give back to the communities we serve as often as possible," said Rick Ferrall, regional general manager and VP of government and regulatory relations at MaxxSouth. "We live in these communities and want to help build them up to the best of our abilities."
