The 47-year long tradition will continue on Friday, August 5, bringing the community together with music and dancing, a spectacular firework display and, of course, plenty of watermelon-related activities and treats.
"It's the perfect way to celebrate the summer season with a fun-filled weekend," said Rick Ferrall, MaxxSouth Broadband Regional General Manager. "The Watermelon Carnival is a beloved event in this community, and MaxxSouth is thrilled to take part in the festivities this year."
Over 175 arts and crafts vendors will accompany the live music, games, contests, free food and activities for all ages to enjoy throughout the weekend. Ice-cold watermelon snacks on hand will be sure to help attendees beat the heat.
Providing over $7,500 in advertising and promotion of the event, MaxxSouth Broadband hopes to help promote the carnival and increase awareness about the event to potential visitors in the surrounding areas.
