Maxim Healthcare Services Executive Appointment Enhances Focus on Clinical and Operational Improvements

COLUMBIA, Md., Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc., an established provider of home healthcare, medical staffing and wellness services, has appointed Paula Sotir, currently Maxim's first chief clinical officer, to the newly created position of chief operating officer of the homecare division. Sotir, who was hired in 2009, will oversee homecare operations while continuing to serve as the company's chief clinical officer.  

Sotir began her career as a registered nurse and subsequently held various senior clinical, operational and new business roles for CareMark, Medical Care America and Critical Care America, all in the home IV therapy industry. Prior to joining Maxim, she served for 13 years in various leadership positions in the wound care clinic industry, including executive vice president at Diversified Clinical Services, Inc., where she developed and led continuous improvement plans designed to accomplish key clinical and financial goals.
