MaxID Corp Chalks Up More TWIC Reader and Software Sales
Delaware River Port Authority, Port Shreveport, Virginia International Terminals and Citgo Petroleum
FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- MaxID, a leading provider of identity solutions, is pleased to announce the sale of the MaxIDentity Suite and the iDL500 multi-modal handheld TWIC readers to the Delaware River Port Authority, The Port Shreveport-Bossier, Virginia International Terminals, Inc. and Citgo Petroleum Corp.
"We are excited about customers deploying the combination of our handheld TWIC readers, the MaxIDentity Suite software and the MaxIDentity Services, our Cloud-based identity services for end-to-end TWIC solutions. We are seeing a surge in both interest and deployments as our solution becomes more broadly recognized, accepted and purchased in industry. We are also excited about the Lenel physical access systems (PACS) integration plug-in for the MaxIDentity Suite developed by MultiModal ID, LLC going live for the first time. PACS integration remains a very important consideration for the ports," said Brian Skiba, President of MaxID Corp US.
Perry Vincent, president of Louisiana Radio Communications, Inc and MaxID TWIC Solutions reseller, notes, "We are seeing a large amount of interest in solutions that help organizations comply with the current TWIC requirements. The MaxID solution, which was selected by the US Coast Guard, has a lot of traction amongst the Maritime industry."
The MaxIDentity Suite contains a series of ready-to-use applications to read PIV, PIV-I, TWIC, CAC, FiXS, and FRAC smart cards as well as passports, ePassports, Seafarer ID cards, and driver's licenses. The product can be purchased using the Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) model, so organizations can pay a low monthly fee for the application suite as an alternative to purchasing outright. The suite is available on the MaxID line of multi-modal portable devices including the iDL500, iDL502, and iDL520 today. The MaxIDentity Suite was jointly developed by MaxID Corp based in Fairfax, Virginia and MultiModal ID, LLC based in Falls Church, Virginia.
The iDL500 is a multi-modal, rugged mobile computer that offers a complete set of features -- including QWERTY keyboard, contact card, contactless card, barcode, optical fingerprint, and optional magnetic swipe and MRZ readers with a digital camera, GPS, and comprehensive communications capabilities such as 3G GSM and WiFi. The iDL500 is a complete, integrated mobile solution for all field-based enrollment, badging and identity management requirements.
