Max & Erma's Tortilla Burger Sales to Benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America During National Hamburger Month
Memorial Day Slider Celebration Giveaway!
COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- May is National Hamburger Month, and Max & Erma's Restaurants, home of the Best Cheeseburger in America, is once again partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to celebrate. A portion of sales from each gourmet, award-winning Tortilla Burger will be donated to the venerable, 154 year old institution.
Beginning Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 31, Max & Erma's will donate a portion of each sale of its popular Tortilla Burger. In addition, guests can make direct $1 or $5 donations to the Boys & Girls Clubs when they dine throughout the month.
The "Fan Favorite," the gourmet Tortilla Burger – made with fresh, never frozen ground beef, hand-formed and cooked to perfection -- features cheddar and pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, tortilla strips, and is served with a side of Max & Erma's tortilla soup for dunking.
"A great burger, and a great cause!" said Steve Weis, Max & Erma's President. "Max & Erma's takes pride in being a good neighbor, and in our commitment to our community. No organization represents that spirit of community more than the Boys & Girls' Clubs of America, and we are proud to team up with them in May."
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, Max & Erma's will once again host Free Slider Day, when all guests receive a free Slider with a beverage purchase. Last year, more than 10,000 sliders were given out in celebration of National Hamburger Month. This year, Max & Erma's is aiming to distribute more than 14,000 of the mini-burgers as a fitting close to its 2014 National Hamburger Month celebration.
Celebrating its 42-year heritage, Columbus, Ohio based Max & Erma's—home to America's Best Cheeseburger—has embarked on an extensive system-wide program to reignite growth. With innovative new gourmet burgers and other new food and drink items, an all-new look, the launch of Free Cookies Wednesday and Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays, Max & Erma's is an increasingly popular neighborhood gathering spot.
