Mavenir Enables One Voice and Messaging over LTE

RICHARDSON, Texas and BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Mavenir Systems, an award-winning provider of innovative mobile convergence solutions, today announced a suite of products that enable One Voice and Messaging services over LTE networks. Mavenir will be providing a live demo of its Rich Communications Suite (RCS) solution at Mobile World Congress 2010 at stand 1A55.

Created by a consortium of major vendors and mobile network operators, One Voice is a set of industry-standard specifications that enable ubiquitous voice and messaging services over LTE networks and devices. Mavenir's Converged Voice and Messaging solutions provide LTE operators with a fast, cost-effective migration path to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), which is a key component for One Voice.

Available today, Mavenir's One Voice and Messaging products are deployed on the ATCA-based mOne Convergence Platform and include:

• Mobile Telephony Application Server – provides real-time voice and multimedia telephony services over any IP-enabled device. This product gives operators the flexibility to offer One Voice services with a variety of 3GPP- and 3GPP2-based call models for complete service parity across LTE and existing 2G and 3G networks.
• Mobility Application Server – provides seamless mobility from LTE to 2G and 3G networks. This product complies with standards such as 3GPP Service Centralization and Continuity (SCC) to enable seamless handover of voice and multimedia sessions, and services synchronization critical for early LTE deployments characterized by hotspot coverage.
• Rich Messaging Server – provides integrated all-IP messaging capabilities supporting SMS, MMS and Instant Messaging services over LTE. The product complies with 3GPP and OMA SIMPLE and CPM standards to offer maximum flexibility in service deployment as per operator requirements.

Several operators worldwide have deployed these products to support a variety of services, including those proposed for One Voice, which will launch later this year.
