Matthew Simoncini Named to Cooper Standard's Board of Directors
NOVI, Mich., July 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CPS) today announced the election of Matthew J. Simoncini to the Company's board of directors, effective August 1, 2018.

"His recent experience running a top tier global automotive supplier, along with his extensive financial background and cultural fit, will contribute to our success. Simoncini most recently served as president, CEO and a director of Lear Corporation. He is presently serving as an advisor to Lear until the end of 2018. During his 21-year career at Lear, Simoncini served in numerous roles of increasing responsibility, including senior vice president and CFO, senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer, and vice president of global finance.
Simoncini's career at Lear also included the roles of vice president of finance for Europe, as well as vice president of finance for the company's Electrical & Electronics and DaimlerChrysler divisions. Simoncini joined Lear, with the acquisition of United Technologies Automotive, as director of finance for the Motors division.
Simoncini currently serves on the board of directors for the Bing Youth Institute, the Detroit Children's Fund, the Michigan Opera Theatre, the Parade Company, the Wayne State University Foundation and several other non-profit and community organizations. He earned a bachelor's degree and received an honorary Doctor of Law degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.
