Matthew Marek Named Vice President, Sales for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota
EAGAN, Minn., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) today announced Matthew Marek as vice president of sales. Marek previously served as vice president community accounts. In this newly expanded role, Matt will lead the national accounts division in serving the complex needs of some of Minnesota's largest employers and will retain his accountability for individual, small and mid-sized employer groups, in both commercial and Medicare products.

Marek's held various leadership roles in government, individual, and middle markets sales and marketing. Marek also has experience in financial services and property casualty insurance lines.
Marek holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Marek is a 2011 recipient of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 40 Under Forty Award and is a frequent volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
