Matthew Holland Joins MWW As Senior Vice President, Corporate Healthcare Practice

NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW Public Relations (www.mww.com), one of the world's top five independent public relations agencies, today announced that Matthew Holland has joined the firm's New York office as senior vice president, corporate healthcare practice. Holland brings nearly two decades of experience in the fields of medical communications, government affairs and public policy. In his role, Holland will oversee MWWPR's corporate healthcare practice, counseling clients in the healthcare sector on the implementation and execution of corporate and financial communications programs. Additionally, he will provide strategic government relations services and public policy counsel to MWWPR's Washington, D.C. clients engaged in the legislative process.

Holland was most recently Executive Director of Public Health Solutions at WebMD, where he was responsible for coordinating the efforts of a multidisciplinary team that worked with federal, state, and local governments on developing, disseminating, and measuring the impact of communications and education activities to both healthcare providers and consumers. He is a past Governing Councilor of the American Public Health Association, Public Health Education and Promotion Section, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, and a member of the NJ Health IT Consumer Advocacy and Quality Care Subcommittee. Additionally, Holland has significant experience running award winning, peer-reviewed journals and healthcare publications with circulations in excess of 250,000, both in the U.S. and globally, including Urology Times and Contemporary OB/GYN.
Holland received his BA in Political Science from The American University in Washington, DC and his MA in Public Policy from The Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
