Dr. Hammond currently has nearly fifteen years of experience in ophthalmology. His areas of expertise include: cataract surgeries, PRK, implantable contact lenses, blepharoplasty, eye exams and more. Dr. Hammond has extensive knowledge in treating individuals with glaucoma and performing various LASIK procedures and welcomes all patients including all routine eye exams.

Following his residency, he was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Bayne- Jones Army Community Hospital. After that, he went on to attain a position as Chief of Ophthalmology and Director of WarFighter Refractive Surgery at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. During this time, Dr. Hammond was responsible for the care of countless injured Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airmen of the United States Military throughout the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

After starting his practice in Logan, he has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Logan Regional Hospital and has acquired several honors and awards throughout the course of his career. Dr. Hammond received the Top Doctor award from Castle Connolly in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and was given the Patient's Choice award in 2012 and 2014; as well as Most Compassionate Doctor award by Vitals in 2013.

Additionally, Dr. Hammond remains an active member of the American Association of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and Utah Society of Ophthalmology. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with family, travel, skiing, tennis and waterskiing.

Dr. Hammond received his medical degree from George Washington University and is married with five children.
