Mattamy Homes Announces New Board Member
David Wilkins, former US Ambassador to Canada, joins Board of North America's largest privately owned homebuilder
OAKVILLE, ON, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Mattamy Homes is pleased to announce the appointment of The Honorable David H. Wilkins, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Wilkins served as the 21st US Ambassador to Canada, from June 2005 to January 2009, and is now a partner at the law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. The appointment was effective June 1, 2015.

Mr. Wilkins chairs the Public Policy and International Law practice group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. He was nominated by President George W. Bush to become the United States Ambassador to Canada. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, Mr. Wilkins practiced law for 34 years in Greenville, South Carolina, and has extensive experience in civil litigation and appellate practice. He is the former Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives, a position he held for 11 years, and was a member of the South Carolina House for 25 years. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Clemson University and is a member of the Board of Directors of Resolute Forest Products and Porter Airlines.
