Matt Ruess Joins George K. Baum & Company's Indiana Public Finance Group
INDIANAPOLIS, April 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Investment banking firm George K. Baum & Company ("GKB" or the "Firm") announced today that Matt Ruess has joined GKB as a Vice President in the Firm's Indianapolis, IN, office.
About Mr. Ruess:
Mr. Ruess will focus on creating long-term financial consulting plans for school districts in Indiana and the surrounding states. Mr. Ruess' extensive background in finance and 18 years of experience in school district management will provide valuable insight and long-term financial planning direction to current and future GKB clients.

Before joining GKB, Mr. Ruess served as the Chief Financial Officer for Crown Point Community School Corporation for 10 years, where he was responsible for preparing, presenting and monitoring the school district's budget of $90 million.
He previously held the roles of Director of Finance for Fayette County School Corporation, Assistant Business Manager for Hamilton Southeastern Schools, Portfolio Manager for Metropolitan School District of Washington Township and Financial Advisor for Prudential Securities.
Mr. Ruess holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Butler University and a BS in Mathematics and Economics from Iowa State University.
