Match 6 Jackpot Winner Worth $4 Million Sold in Bucks County
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Oct. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After a three-month jackpot run, Match 6 Lotto has finally awarded its largest jackpot in over two years to one winning ticket sold in Bucks County for the Thursday, October 13, drawing. The $4 million jackpot is the game's seventh-largest prize on record.
The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 02-07-22-24-31-48, to win a jackpot of $4 million, less applicable tax withholding.
Wawa, 1244 Bristol Pike, Morrisville, Bucks County, earns a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The prize must be claimed and the ticket validated before the winner can be identified. Match 6 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
The Lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery's seven area offices.
Claims may be filed at Lottery headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.
More than 136,800 other Match 6 Lotto tickets also won prizes in the drawing. Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.
In the 2014-15 fiscal year, in addition to awarding more than $89.2 million in prizes to Bucks County winners, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $42.9 million to programs serving the county's older residents.
Three years ago this month, Match 6 Lotto awarded its largest-ever prize: a jackpot worth more than $7.3 million. The jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Cambria County for the October 3, 2013 drawing.
How to Play Match 6 Lotto: Match 6 tickets cost $2 each. Players can choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or have numbers randomly selected by computer. The computer will then randomly select an additional two sets of six numbers, for three lines of six numbers each or 18 numbers total. Players can win up to four times on each ticket – once on each of three lines (base play) and by combining all 18 numbers (combined play). Match 6 Lotto drawings are held on Monday and Thursday evenings.
