Master Impressionist Alan Wolton Releases Small Works Paintings Online for First Time

Wolton used his vibrant and detailed approach in this new series, to shed new light on one of his favorite subjects, water lilies. Wolton's small works include two water lily scenes – Proud Family (12"x12"), and White Water Lily and Red Pals (12"x12"). The third painting, Roses for My Sweetheart (12"x12"), was inspired by his wife.

"It was amusing to try something new and paint on small scale for this lively series. I found the brush danced in my hand when touched to the canvas and I delighted in focusing on the way the petals captured the light," said Wolton.

Wolton has received honors at the Royal Academy of London, was the Oil Painters of America Distinguished Artist of the Year (2014), and has shown paintings at prestigious venues such as The Paris Salon and many museum collections.
