MassMutual Silicon Valley To Observe 50th Anniversary

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MassMutual Silicon Valley a Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) general agency in San Jose, will observe the 50^th anniversary of its founding in 1963. The event will be celebrated at a reception on October 21, 2013 at the Silicon Valley Capital Club on W San Fernando Street in San Jose with co-host San Jose Business Journal.

General Agent Andrew Miceli said the reception on October 21 will include the agency staff and local public figures including Pete Constant, San Jose City Council District 1.

The San Jose agency was founded in 1963 and first managed by General Agent Con Kelleher. He was succeeded by Don Roller in April 1964.  With Don Roller's exceptional leadership, the agency grew to be a successful part of MassMutual Financial Group receiving several awards.  After Don's retirement in 1987, Nader Issa and Ken Paige took over as co-General Agents until Andrew Miceli took over in 1996.   To this day, the agency continues to help families and small businesses achieve their financial goals.   

The agency has 22,008 policy owners with a total of over $3.5 billion of life insurance in force and $2.12 billion client policy and account values. The professional staff consists of 43 agents and 10 support personnel.
