MassMutual Retirement Services and Clients Capture Five First Place P&I Eddy Awards
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pensions & Investments (P&I) presented five first place Eddy Awards to MassMutual's Retirement Services Division and its clients during the annual awards luncheon at the DC East 2014 conference on March 3. The Eddy Awards, sponsored by P&I Magazine since 1995, identify and reward best practices in providing investment education to defined contribution plan participants. Judges include representatives from P&I and some of the largest retirement plan providers in the U.S.
MassMutual garnered three first place awards in the service provider category:
- 1st Place (Category: Conversions – Corporate, 5,000 or fewer employees) for its successful conversion campaign for Broadway Bank.
- 1st Place (Tie) (Category: Special Projects – Corporate) for its "Reaching the Finish Line" enrollment campaign with Churchill Downs Incorporated.
- 1st Place (Category: Special Projects – Generic) for its animated Investing in Retirement and Asset Allocation edutainment videos.
MassMutual's plan sponsor clients also earned two first place awards:
- Churchill Downs Incorporated: 1st Place (Tie) (Category: Special Projects – Corporate) for its "Reaching the Finish Line" enrollment campaign
- International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4 Annuity and Savings Plan (IUOE Local 4): 1st Place (Category: Special Projects – Union) for its "Game Plan" themed educational meeting event and campaign.
This is not the first time Churchill Downs Incorporated's 2013 enrollment campaign and IUOE Local 4's education meeting and campaign have earned national recognition. The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) awarded Silver and Bronze to IUOE Local 4 during its 66th annual Signature Awards ceremony on Sept. 10. Churchill Downs Incorporated's campaign earned Silver during the ceremony.
