MassMutual Rated #1 by Retirement Plan Advisors in 2011 Boston Research Group DCP Satisfaction and Loyalty Study

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In Boston Research Group's 2011 Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) Retirement Advisor Satisfaction and Loyalty Study, MassMutual's Retirement Services Division earned the #1 overall satisfaction rating from retirement plan advisors among all 17 recordkeepers in the study. MassMutual scored 13 points higher than its nearest competitor and 28 points above the industry average overall.

MassMutual placed in the top quartile in every single category ranking, and garnered the most #1 ratings among all recordkeepers in the study, clinching the top rating in each of the following:

• Overall satisfaction
• Wholesaler accessibility/availability
• Wholesaler expertise in the retirement services industry
• Thought leader in the 401(k) industry
• Partners with you (advisor) for success
• Marketing assistance (proposals, presentations, seminars)
• Internal wholesaler ability to resolve problems
• Making it easy to do business with them

MassMutual's ratings in the categories of "A thought leader in the 401(k) industry" and "partners with you for success" are well above the industry average at +26 points and +25 points respectively.

The nationwide survey of retirement advisors was conducted from February to April 2011 and the results of the recordkeeping portion represent 17 leading defined contribution retirement plan providers. Findings are based on the percentage of advisors who were "very satisfied" with the recordkeeper.
