MassMutual Opens Chinatown Office in New York City to Better Serve Local Chinese-American Community
NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) is establishing a team of financial professionals in the Chinatown section of New York City, the iconic center of the Chinese American population, to provide "neighborhood" financial services to this fast-changing community.
The new team is headed by Jimmy Woo, who's served this New York City market for 28 years and is an experienced financial services representative and manager. Under Mr. Woo's leadership, MassMutual's team, who share the culture and values of the Chinese-American residents of Chinatown, will better serve the area's community.
"It is an exciting time to introduce MassMutual to Chinatown," Mr. Woo said. "This is a dynamic area of families and business owners with unique and diverse financial needs. We feel we are uniquely qualified to serve these needs now and into the future."
"As we continue to expand nationally, MassMutual is working hard to serve the needs of an increasingly diverse population," said Amy Chen, director of market development for MassMutual, in charge of East and Southeast Asian markets. The addition of Jimmy to our team and the upcoming opening of our Chinatown office combine his experience, passion and cultural knowledge with MassMutual's strength and history. We are excited to welcome Jimmy and to be part of this thriving community."
"Jimmy's expertise and ability to help develop talented financial services professionals make him the ideal manager of this new team in Chinatown," said Dominick Iorio, general agent of Lee, Nolan & Koroghlian, LLC, a MassMutual general agency, with the main office located in Saddle Brook, N.J." I've known Jimmy for years and knew he would be a perfect fit to open our newest office and for serving the needs of Chinese American families and business owners in New York City."
Iorio and his partners, Dick Nolan and George Koroghlian expect Woo's Chinatown office to open in November at 80-82 Bowery, suite #402.
