MassMutual Awarded NAFE Top 50 Companies for Executive Women
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) was awarded a spot as a Top 50 Company for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) at the organization's Gala Awards luncheon in New York City on Thursday.
MassMutual was recognized for a third year in a row, with above-average scores in 75 percent of the categories ranked by NAFE: the total number of women employees (57%), senior managers (41%), corporate executives (30%), profit-and-loss executives (44%), direct reports to the CEO (40%) and Board of Directors members (30%).
MassMutual and the other NAFE Top 50 Companies lead corporate America in commitment to female leadership, outpacing the FORTUNE 500. According to the NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women 2014 Executive Summary, women now make up 28 percent of corporate executives at NAFE Top 50 companies vs. 15 percent in the FORTUNE 500 and occupy 27 percent of all board of director seats at NAFE Top 50 vs. 17 percent in the FORTUNE 500.
