Massive Absolute Auction of 171 Homes and Three Lots in Houston Set for Nov. 12
HOUSTON, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- "Sold" is what will be heard 174 times on November 12th at the Marriott Westchase Hotel in Houston as the City's Housing Authority auctions off its portfolio of scattered site properties. This will be one of the largest absolute auctions of residential properties ever in the greater Houston area, and the excitement around this massive auction is building, according to Stephen Karbelk, CAI, AARE, the founder of National Residential Auctioneers.
"This is one of the most anticipated auctions in Houston," noted Karbelk. "With so many homes being sold, there will be many chances to get in on this historic sale."
The auction company has made it really easy to bid. All you need to do is show up with a government issued ID, a personal or company check for the required 10 percent deposit, register with the auction company, and be a winning bidder.
"You can bid at the auction or bid online during the auction through our online auction company partner, ProxiBid," commented Paul A. Lynn, CCIM, Principal of Paul A. Lynn & Associates, LLC, Texas real estate broker and auctioneer. "Registration starts at 8am on November 12th. Come out early, register, and be a winning bidder."
The auction starts at 10am with a 45-property auction. At 1pm, there will be a special offering to pre-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. At 2pm, all remaining properties will be sold.
The properties average 1,500 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. All of the homes are open for inspection on November 5th and 6th from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Visit www.natresauctions.com/HHA for specific open house times as well as a detailed listing of all of the properties.
The properties are being sold on an "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" basis, will not be sold subject to any types of contingencies and will need to close within 30 days after the auction. Financing will not be a contingency so each buyer will need to know they can close on their purchase within the required time frame. There will be a 5 percent buyer's premium added to the high bid price.
