MassDOT selects Aurigo Masterworks to Automate FAPRO
BOSTON and AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In its State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Federal fiscal years 2016-2019, Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has directed nearly $4.5 billion dollars to roadways, bridges, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and public transportation. The 5-year capital improvement program at MassDOT for the years 2017-21 is even higher at $14.8 Billion.
MassDOT is looking to overhaul the entire planning and project portfolio management processes with cloud-based software for business process automation, over time. The most critical piece is getting immediate attention: automating business processes within the Federal Aid Program Reimbursement Office (FAPRO), which is entirely manual today. After careful due diligence of various technology vendors in the market place, "MassDOT has selected Aurigo in a sole source contract to conduct a detailed discovery of its FAPRO as-is processes, before getting into the next phase of automation to be delivered," said Phyllis Dunn, Director IT, MassDOT.
"We are delighted to welcome Massachusetts, to our growing list of customers in North America. Several state DOTs and provincial agencies in North America have come to rely on Aurigo's cloud based enterprise software suite, to significantly improve the way they plan and deliver their multi-billion dollar programs on time and within budget. Aurigo is excited to be at the forefront of this infrastructure wave in the US and Canada," said Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO of Aurigo Software, Inc.
