Massage Envy Spa and the Arthritis Foundation Host 'Healing Hands for Arthritis' Event

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Massage Envy Spa and the Arthritis Foundation have joined forces again to host Healing Hands for Arthritis, a one-day national event to raise funds to find a cure for people living with arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability. On Sept. 17, 2014, Massage Envy Spa clinics in Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada will donate $10 from every one‐hour massage or facial to the Arthritis Foundation. Massage Envy Spa has raised more than $2 million to help the Arthritis Foundation serve nearly 53 million adults and 300,000 children affected by arthritis.

"Arthritis affects more than 7 million adults and children in Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada—and that is just too many," says Manny Loya, CEO of the Arthritis Foundation, Pacific Region.  "The Healing Hands for Arthritis event aims to ease the pain of arthritis while raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation advocacy, educational programs and research to help find a cure for this painful and debilitating disease."

Each $10 raised from every one-hour massage or facial during the Healing Hands for Arthritis event will support the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide efforts to fund research for a cure as well as provide vital programs and services.  Additionally, Murad®, Massage Envy Spa's exclusive skin care partner, will donate 10 percent of all sales from products sold at Massage Envy Spa locations on September 17 to the Arthritis Foundation.
