'Massachusetts Miracle' Video Continues Its Viral Assent Post-Election
Has struck a chord with the American people
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Minnesota Majority Network:
Two weeks after the historic senatorial election in Massachusetts, the 'Massachusetts Miracle' video continues to rock the Internet. The viral video has received over 1.2 million views and its pace of growth is accelerating. It has become the #1 most viewed video in YouTube's Non-Profit and Activism category for the past month. A majority of the video's traffic has originated from viral emails.
The video can be viewed at www.MassachusettsMiracle.com.
'Massachusetts Miracle' was originally released one week prior to the Massachusetts special election. By the time the polls closed on January 19, the video had received over 500,000 views, more than any of the campaign videos on YouTube produced by Martha Coakley, Scott Brown and even President Obama.
The video has received thousands of comments. Some examples include:
- "It brought tears to my eyes."
- "I LOVE this video. It shows greatness in America"
- "The 'Massachusetts Miracle' was a turning point that really woke-up a lot of us independents. We got out and held signs, went to rallies and voted."
- "Goosebumps! What a powerful message!"
The 90-second video compared the Massachusetts special election to the American Revolution. It highlights the fact that the American Revolution began in Massachusetts with the battle of Lexington, where a brave group of Americans fought against a vastly superior tyrannical government to secure their freedom. It goes on to suggest that our liberty is now being threatened by a different tyrannical government.
"What happened in Massachusetts truly is a miracle", said Jeff Davis, the video's producer. "This seat had been held by Democrats for over half a century. Martha Coakley was leading in the polls by 25 points just two weeks prior to the election. Then something happened in the final weeks of the campaign. Many attribute it to answered prayer."
Some pundits claim Brown's victory is a foreshadowing of massive Republican wins in November. But Davis warns politicians not to read too much into Brown's victory. "People are fed-up with massive government expansion that is depriving us and future generations of Americans of our liberty. There is blame to be laid on both sides of the aisle. I believe voters are going to be looking to elect representatives who are truly committed to the core principles upon which our nation was founded."
