Massachusetts Collection Industry Leader Earns Prestigious Honor As Member Of The Year

BOSTON, July 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Debt collection industry leader Jay Gonsalves, president of Boston-based Action Collection Agency, recently was named Member of the Year by ACA International at its 74^th Annual Convention in San Diego.

ACA International's Member of the Year Award is the association's highest honor and is presented to the member determined to have done the most to further the interests of the credit and collections industry in the preceding 12 months.  Awarded to one or more person per year since 1952, Gonsalves is the 94^th recipient of ACA's Member of the Year.

Gonsalves is a past-president of ACA International, and past-president and a longtime member of the New England Collectors Association Board of Directors.  He also leads ACA's Legislative Council and has chaired ACA's National Healthcare Services and Interstate Committees. Gonsalves has achieved significant professional designations including the International Fellowship of Credit and Collection Executives (IFCCE), Master Credit Executive (MCE), and Certified Instructor. In addition, he is a frequent national and international speaker on credit and collection industry matters.
