Maryland-based 2U, Inc., Moves Into New Lanham Headquarters

At full capacity, the 309,303 sq. foot headquarters will house 2,100 employees throughout 12 floors and features wide, open floor plans, creative work spaces designed for collaboration and brainstorming, and standing desk stations. Employees will also have 24-hour access to a private fitness facility that features top-of-the-line equipment and more than 20 weekly classes, from cycling to yoga, taught by trained professionals. Beginning this spring, employees will enjoy outdoor garden working areas that feature Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and an event space. A full-service cafe area is also expected to open in April, with healthy and creative food options that employees can order online via mobile apps.

2U has experienced rapid growth in recent years, growing its workforce from 98 to more than 1,100 employees between 2010 and 2016. The new headquarters follows the opening of 2U's Denver office in 2015, and the company has recently announced plans to relocate its current Manhattan office to Brooklyn's DUMBO Heights, a collaborative and urban campus that houses top global creative industry firms. 2U has five office locations in the U.S. and one in Hong Kong.

2U will host a grand opening event of its Lanham headquarters in March.
