In this role, McLaughlin is the senior executive responsible for operations, network development, financial performance and the overall customer experience for more than two million customers and 5,000 employees in the Beltway Region.
McLaughlin joins Comcast's Beltway Region after serving the last five years as Senior Vice President of Comcast's Western New England Region, where she was pivotal in introducing cutting-edge technologies to customers, and led her team to be recognized with one of Comcast's highest internal honors as "Region of the Year." McLaughlin was also a widely respected, active leader in the community having served a two-year term as co-chair of The Governor's Prevention Partnership (GPP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping Connecticut youth safe, successful and drug free, as well as on the Board of Directors for Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and the Vermont Business Roundtable.
"Mary is a proven, hands-on leader who cares deeply about her employees and customers and is always striving for excellence," said Kevin Casey, President of Comcast's Northeast Division. Prior to transitioning to the cable industry more than 20 years ago, McLaughlin served as Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General specializing in consumer protection. She went on to hold numerous public affairs, public policy and operational leadership positions in telecom companies throughout the Northeast before joining Comcast in 2006 as Area Vice President for New Hampshire and then Area Vice President for the Greater Boston South operating area.
"It is a true pleasure to join such a passionate, hard-working and devoted team," said McLaughlin. "Together, we are committed to exceeding our customers' expectations and delivering innovative and reliable products and services."

She was named a "Top Regional Player" in the publications' annual "The 100" top power players list each year from 2011 to 2015. In addition, she has been recognized as a "Women in Business" honoree by the Hartford Business Journal and a "Visionary Woman of Excellence" by Unity First.
