NEW YORK, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Martinique welcomes the first round of Jetracer World Championship IJSBA, an International Jet race Competition. The lovely fishermen town of Case-Pilote located on the Caribbean Coast will proudly host this three-day event, with two stages in Sainte-Anne and Fort-de-France, the Capital city. This city is one of the earliest settlements of Martinique and was named after Carib chief "Pilote".
About 50 competitors from the United States, Russia, Canada, Kuwait, Qatar, Belgium, Peru, the United Kingdom, Italy, China, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia and France will compete on Martinique's warm Caribbean waters before the second round in Russia in August 2016.
"Martinique Jet Race 2016 is back with an exciting race program, with over 500 kilometers of a mixture of calm to very tough sea riding on the amazingly beautiful Caribbean island of Martinique, the incredible welcome and friendliness from the local population who supported the 1st Edition in 2014 was very apparent and will be repeated again this year without doubt," said Russell Marmon, 2014 1st Martinique Jet Race Champion.
