PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Julie Martin has been named vice president of sales and marketing at HELLA's Corporate Center USA.
Based in Plymouth, Martin will be responsible for further strengthening customer relationships in HELLA's automotive electronics and lighting businesses. She also will focus on helping to position the company for additional growth in strategic product areas, including energy management, driver assistance and lighting.
A native of Plymouth, Michigan, Martin had been HELLA's purchasing director for electronics commodities in the Americas and previously managed North American production purchasing and supplier quality for the company's electronics plants in the U.S. and Mexico.
Prior to joining HELLA, she held a series of management positions in purchasing at Visteon, including senior commodity manager for Visteon's Climate Control Group and for Visteon's Interior Product Group. While at Visteon she also served as a non-metals commodity manager and program supply purchasing manager.
Martin began her business career as an analyst with Ford Motor Company's Automotive Components Division in 1989 and progressed through a series of purchasing positions in electronics, assembly operations, powertrain, interiors and climate control systems.
Martin holds a bachelor's degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University. She resides in Canton, Michigan.
