Mars Chocolate North America And Six Flags Partner To Celebrate National Ice Cream Day In A Cool Way On July 15

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., July 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The summer heat may be blazing, but July 15 promises to be the "coolest" day of the year. Today, MARS Chocolate North America, producers of M&M'S^®, SNICKERS^®, DOVE^®, MILKY WAY^® and TWIX^® ice cream product lines, announced an exclusive partnership with Six Flags Entertainment Corp. to help consumers celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 15. Guests who visit select Six Flags parks across the country on National Ice Cream Day will have the opportunity to enjoy special offers, activities, giveaways, and of course delicious MARS Ice Cream products.

Special events and activities planned for July 15 at Six Flags include:

• Rise and Scream Event: Ice cream and theme park rides are a natural pair – they both make consumers scream in delight! The first 200 guests to arrive early at one of the 11 participating Six Flags parks on National Ice Cream Day will have the chance to receive a MARS Ice Cream Rise and Scream Wristband, which provides special VIP access to select rides before the parks open.
• Mars Ice Cream Social Hour: Take a break from the heat and cool down with a frozen treat during the MARS Ice Cream Social Hour. Guests can purchase a MARS Ice Cream product from any official Six Flags Ice Cream Day location within the park from 4-5 p.m. and receive a free Midway Game Voucher to use at Six Flags on July 15.
• "Adults Only" DOVE® Ice Cream Truck: For those in the Boston area on National Ice Cream Day, the special edition "Adults Only" DOVE^® Ice Cream Truck will be stopping by Six Flags New England in Springfield, beginning at 5:30 p.m. EDT. Those 18 years or older can enjoy free DOVE^® Ice Cream Bars and free stress-busting activities – including massages by licensed massage therapists, manicures and music.
