CHICAGO, July 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Marquette National Corporation (OTCQX: MNAT) today reported a year-to-date net loss of $8.6 million compared to net income of $9.9 million for the first six months of 2021. Earnings per share for the first six months of 2022 were a loss of $1.97 per share, as compared to income of $2.24 per share for the same period in 2021.
At June 30, 2022, total assets were $2.084 billion, a decrease of $10 million, or 1%, compared to $2.094 billion at December 31, 2021. Total loans increased by $44 million, or 3%, to $1.308 billion compared to $1.264 billion at the end of 2021. Total deposits increased by $26 million, or 2%, to $1.765 billion compared to $1.739 billion at the end of 2021.
Paul M. McCarthy, Chairman & CEO, said, "the subsidiary bank continued to perform well, with 2022 earnings similar to the comparable period in 2021. The primary reason for the decrease in consolidated earnings was a decline in the value of the parent company's equity portfolio in 2022."
