Analyst Update: Leadership Transition, New Product Launch, Geographical Expansions, Financial Results and Strategic Alliances

The U.S. stock market prolonged its winning streak on Friday, ending the day in green, as positive sentiments continued to buoy the markets after the Christmas holiday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) gained for seven consecutive trading days and ended the session at 18,053.71, up 0.13%, while the S&P 500 moved up 0.33% to 2088.77. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.70% and closed at 4,806.86, its highest level since March 2000. The European markets will remain close till Monday. The Asian stocks were mostly higher, as investors played down a slew of Japanese economic reports on inflation, industrial output and the labor market. The data showed that inflation in Japan was slowing, despite efforts of increasing it; however, the market reaction to the November figures was largely muted.
Gildan Activewear Inc. (Gildan) appointed James Kehoe as the Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, effective January 1, 2015 succeeding Laurence G. Sellyn. Sellyn is retiring from the said position, which he had filled in 1999, but will continue with Gildan for a transitional period so as to facilitate Kehoe's integration into the Company and ensure a systematic transfer of responsibilities.
GNC Holdings, Inc. (GNC Holdings), with the launch of its whole-food-based GNC PUREDGE line of health, wellness and performance supplements is helping Americans to supplement their healthy eating, while at the same time boosting their workouts and energizing their day.
In continuation to its growth strategy, GRUMA, S.A. de C.V. (GRUMA) announced its geographical expansion into Russia, where it plans to invest $50 million in its new plant, over the next two years. The plant in Russia is expected to have the highest standards of quality and food safety in the industry.
Guess Inc. (Guess) reported total net revenue for Q3 FY 2015 of $589.8 million, down 3.9% YoY and for 9M FY 2015 (period ended November 1, 2014) at $1.7 billion, down by 4.5% YoY. The Company also approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.225 per share on the Company's common stock, which will be payable on January 2, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 17, 2014.
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (Harley-Davidson) partnered with Wounded Warrior Project to help improve the lives of service men and women living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The event was marked by a special delivery of new 2015 motorcycles to six U.S. military veterans.
